Our Story

Movida is a true family business and was formed following a split from our previous joint organization. Our name was created in 2017 by combining Mo-né (last name), Vi-ncent (eldest son), and Da-niël (youngest son). It represents how close-knit we are as a family and that we’re always there for one another.

It also means that we communicate openly and freely, honor our commitments, and act with trust. That mindset attracts employees who share our vision and enthusiasm for continuously improving our services and products. That mindset also resonates with our customers. It’s no coincidence that we promise “More than telecom.”

For more than 30 years, we have been providing customized telecommunications, telematics, and IT solutions that address the challenges of an ever-changing world. 2017

Keeping Telecommunications Under Control

What began with a single client and the need to manage 900 cell phones has since grown into the management of more than 44,000 assets for multiple clients. Today’s challenges revolve around the complexity of devices, data, and cost control. Whereas accessibility used to be the main concern, insight, control, and optimization are now the biggest stumbling blocks for many companies and organizations. As telecom specialists, we ensure that the complexity of mobile communication remains manageable and we are constantly working on process improvement. We pick up where an in-house IT department leaves off, because they often lack the right expertise and the right people for the job.

Skilled and passionate field engineers

Through the acquisition of MDP Inbouwspecialisten B.V. in Breda, we have gained more than 30 years of additional knowledge and experience. We need this knowledge to roll out our diverse range of hardware and services in a thorough and professional manner. In a world where everything has gone digital, our focus is on offering a combination of online service and in-person service—whether at the office or on the go. MDP consists of a substantial service team operating from every region in the Netherlands, equipped with a fully professional mobile workshop.

2019

Take the Stress Out of Fleet Management

Movida already had extensive knowledge and experience in telematics and fleet management before the company was founded. By applying this experience to develop a new product, Movida has taken a significant step forward by introducing a platform that incorporates all the necessary components and is designed for simplicity. Fleet management systems should be user-friendly, eliminating the need to consult a manual. Movida’s platform, called Finder, is designed with the user in mind, not the developer. This sets it apart from what we see in the market, and as a result, we’ve been able to secure key major clients fairly quickly. The necessary hardware is important to us as a company to ensure the desired solution works. But for a customer, the choice of hardware is a logical consequence of the desired solution. That’s why we always focus on the solutions and avoid making things too complex for the customer.

This year, we ensured that the Finder systems obtained both the RitRegistratieSystemen quality mark and the Kiwa/SCM Class TV, 4, and 5 certification.

Safety & Quality First

Sustainability, quality, and information security are essential for working not only efficiently, but also responsibly and safely. That is why we continuously invest in new certifications to continue to guarantee safety and quality.

Movida currently holds ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001 certifications. In addition, we are BIO2-compliant for government purposes.

But it all starts with you. For example, we’ve made sure that all Movida and MDP employees hold emergency response certification. And in some cases, our employees have more extensive certifications based on their roles and responsibilities, such as Kiwa/SCM, VCA, and GPI.
