In the Netherlands, BAM relies on its employees having seamless access to their cell phones and tablets. Following the signing of a new agreement, Movida will take over the operational management of the mobile devices and connections starting in January 2021. With the expansion of the agreement, BAM will also utilize these services in its other home countries.
Patrick Guijs (global manager of modern workplace) has been a familiar face since 2013. Guijs: “It’s one less thing for me to worry about that we can continue to grow internationally with Movida. For BAM, it’s a logical step to outsource management to our partners—without the involvement of internal staff—allowing BAM to focus on its core business. I have every confidence that my international colleagues will soon also have all their concerns regarding mobile device services completely taken care of. I know they’ll receive high-quality, friendly, and flexible support in their local markets. And I, for one, have my hands free to work with our partners to ensure the full digitization and management of our workplaces in our home countries. Our end users are our top priority and at the heart of everything we do.”
Ed Moné, Director of Movida: “I see this as a reward for our strong relationship and performance over the years. After all, we’ve been entrusted with taking full operational control of mobile device management on our own.” Behind the scenes, Movida handles the issuance and return of devices, processes changes and incidents, and provides ongoing advice on the deployment and use of mobile applications. This includes accurate record-keeping, with clear reports for each individual device and/or connection.
The first project Movida has been awarded involves migrating more than 9,000 Dutch BAM employees and their mobile devices to a new MDM platform. For these users, little will change other than even better support, both online and offline. BAM aims to provide its employees with secure and easy access, enabling them to access data anywhere and on any device and to collaborate more efficiently and seamlessly with one another. With the expansion of this partnership, the parties anticipate potential growth of over 20,000 devices.
